Prep Football Notes -- Ross more than ready for start of league play (The Oxford Press)

ROSS TWP. ? The Fort Ancient Valley Conference Scarlet Division campaign has finally arrived, and the Ross High School football team is thrilled. Nonleague play wasn't very kind to the Rams, who have lost four of five games while allowing 38.8 points and 414.8 yards per contest.

RAG BALL TOURNAMENT SLATED FOR OCTOBER: A ragball tournament will be held at Thompson Park the weekend of Oct. 25-26. The tournament will be two-and-out with winners collecting sponsor trophies and T-shirts. The drawing will be held Friday, Oct. 24, at 6 p.m. at the park.
